Confidence in Quality.

We know that good care involves far more than successful medical treatment. Therefore our concern for you extends to every part of your stay. From the moment you arrive in our hospitals you become part of a long tradition of health care. Since our houses opened over a century ago, our mission has been excellence.

As one of first hospitals in the region we were certified by KTQ®, the Quality award for German Hospitals, based on the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organisations.
This voluntary project endeavours to achieve transparency, beyond the quality of the handling of patients, in medical care, handling of employees, security in the hospital, ways of information, management of the hospital, quality management in itself and - whenever possible - the results of hospital treatment. Every one of these main criteria is structured into numerous sub-categories and separate enquiries. A level of quality has been established for every criterion, verifying its achievement in great detail. The concept follows the example of internationally approved examples, such as the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organisations (USA).

We are geared towards the following routing thoughts:

Quality assurance stems from aim-orientated and critical self-monitoring.
Quality assurance serves the solution of problems and may not degenerate into an end in itself.
Basis and progress documentation are not in itself an assurance of quality, like statistical procedures they merely lay the foundations.
Fundamental preconditions for a quality assurance programme are problem-recognition and aim-definition.
Distinguishing features of a quality assurance programme are in addition to the outcome also the conclusions derived thereof and the consequences.
Quality assurance programmes require continual critical monitoring.
Preventative arrangement and therefore early determination of possible problem sources and their elimination.
Consideration of quality on all levels, regardless of function, and in all phases.
 Improved communication between individual fields.
Personal responsibility of quality for those carrying it out.

In order to integrate all fields from the very beginning, many assigned to quality are called from every field. With the establishment of our quality management we incorporate the following aims:

Work procedures and service offers are orientated around the needs of our patients, residents and customers, striving for continual improvement.
Therefore it is also important to watch and support patients with regard to their own maturity, autonomy and self-responsibility.
We want to achieve transparency of the attained treatment results as well as the supporting processes and structures.
We aspire to the qualification of all those who work for us and want to strengthen the co-operation and communication between all professional groups  within the hospital.
The configuration of processes of change by those who work for us should be supported. We are aiming for a proportionate use of resources with respect to human, economical and ecological aspects.
The demand for external quality assurance is authoritatively fulfilled.
We wish to continually improve our internal procedures and structures.

External quality assurance, co-ordinated by the BQS, has become a daily component of our work. The results of our medical treatments are permanently compared with other departments and internally analysed in great detail.
